Addicted to nut butter!
Until some months ago, I never ate nut butter in my life. I never understood why people were so crazy over peanut butter and Nutella. But something changed. As I started making my own hazelnut chocolate spread (i.e. healthy Nutella), I decided to make nut butter with other nuts… for example, at that time I was drinking a lot of almond milk to go with the coffee. Since I stopped doing that, I had a lot of almond in my cupboard. Making almond butter sounded like a good idea, and anyways, my coach gave me a recipe for delicious protein chocolate pudding, which required nut butter. Great!
It’s super easy though – just roast the nuts, and put them in the food processor until it gets really runny. At the beginning, I was too impatient to wait so the oil never separated from the rest. The magic happens so quickly, it is unreal! Anyways, the nut butter will, at the end, be sooooooo fluid, you won’t need anything else!
Here is almond. Took like 15 minutes with my Cuisinart food processor.
Macadamia are much easier to make – very quick, may be because there is not much fiber.
Sunflower seeds are also very easy.
