I started this blog in 2015 when I started following the bikini competition plan with a professional fitness coach. I wanted to focus on strength building training and for this, I wanted to find out what these people do.
Let me say, the nutritional plan was quite hard to follow, and it was hard to do it unless you cook everything at home. It was difficult to find the recipe which was still delicious, being on a low fat diet takes away a lot of joy…. everything was grilled, steamed or boiled, although it inspired me to be more creative, I did lose a drive to follow it up. in 6 months period, I gained about 6kg of muscle mass and I started to look like a man.
My coach said it was a process, I could get leaner. But this meant including more vigorous cardio hours in my training plan, which was already taking too much of my time. I have companies to run. I have music to learn for my singing. This is when I decided to part from this, because it just did not suit myself anymore.
I still lifted, but with less intensity and much less consumption of protein powders… then I got pregnant 🙂 The first trimester was terrible because of the morning sickness but I still tried to stick to doing exercises whenever I could. But it completely threw me off the nutrition plans I wanted to follow – all the sudden I had so much cravings for noodles!!!
Now in the second trimester, I feel much better, and guess what, I am following a ketogenic diet (more precisely, the Bulletproof Diet proposed by Dave Asprey). I read his wife’s book on pregnancy as well, and it seemed that this diet brings a lot of positive effects on the growth of my baby, and also improves my health. So now this blog is about my journey of being pregnant, following this diet and the weightlifting routines!
