Organic Quinoa Spaghetti
Tonight I tried this one! It just arrived today from the US, it is organic quinoa spaghetti without dairy, wheat, soy, nuts, corn and eggs! No crap included either! Non-GMO. It is made from rice, quinoa and amaranth. It is from Now Foods.
But normally this kind of ‘perfect’ food tastes like crap… I did try many non-gluten noodles before and I was always disappointed. But hey, I never tried anything with quinoa so let’s see how it tastes!
Cooked the pasta for 10 minutes to make it al-dente, the pasta remained stiff and sticky so I was worried…. but at the end, it was fine!
Verdict: VERY NICE! Very tasty indeed. Non-gluten pasta tends to be hard & grainy or saggy, but as it was cooked pretty good, the rigidness of it didn’t bother me at all. It was pretty satisfying and I would definitely try this again.
This is about 50g of pasta.The whole thing is about 350 kcal. I needed a bit more protein so I ate some Mostbroeckli from Switzerland – air-dried beef. So yummy!!!
I cannot wait to test other stuff!!!
